Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences

Established in 2017, the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) is the first and only government medical college in Arunachal Pradesh. Located in Naharlagun, near the state capital Itanagar, the institute is named after Tomo Riba, the second Chief Minister of the state. Affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

The college offers an undergraduate MBBS program with an annual intake of 50 to 100 students, alongside nursing and postgraduate courses. It is integrated with a 500-bedded multi-specialty hospital that provides extensive clinical training and serves as a vital healthcare hub for the local population.

To get into Tomo Riba Institute of Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) for MBBS, you need to clear NEET UG, pass 10+2 with PCB, meet percentile cutoffs (50th for General, 40th for Reserved), and then participate in online counselling via the Arunachal Pradesh DME/TRIHMS portal or MCC, registering, filling choices, and attending document verification for seat allotment.
