Punjabi University

Established in 1962, Punjabi University, Patiala is a distinguished state public university and notably the second in the world to be named after a language. Originally founded to promote the Punjabi language, art, and literature, it has evolved into a massive multi-disciplinary institution spread over a 600-acre lush green campus. The university is recognized with a NAAC A+ grade, reflecting its high standards in research and teaching across more than 70 departments.

The university offers over 150 academic programs ranging from certificate to doctoral levels.
