Assam Engineering College (AEC), established in 1955, is the first engineering college in North-Eastern India and a premier technical institute. It is a public college located in the Jalukbari area of Guwahati, Assam. College is affiliated with the Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) and approved by the AICTE. Spread over a large area, approximately 400 acres.

AEC primarily offers Bachelor of Engineering (B.E./B.Tech.) courses in eight disciplines, including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, and Computer Science and Engineering. It also offers Master of Engineering (M.E./M.Tech.) and Master in Computer Applications (MCA) courses, along with PhD programs.
