he Central Institute of Technology (CIT), primarily known as Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar (CITK), is a public technical university in Kokrajhar, Assam, India. Established in 2006, it is a Centrally Funded Technical Institute (CFTI) under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and has been declared a Deemed to be University.

It offers various programs including Diploma, B.Tech, B.Des, M.Tech, M.Des, and Ph.D. in engineering, design, and vocational disciplines, with the core objective of imparting requisite technological and vocational training to produce skilled manpower for the North-East region.

The B.Tech admission process at Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Assam, requires candidates to have passed their 10+2 or equivalent with relevant subjects. Admission is based on merit, determined through a combination of the JEE Main exam and the institute’s own entrance exam, CITDEE (Central Institute of Technology Degree Entrance Examination). There are also separate criteria for lateral entry admissions, which require qualifying the CIT Lateral Entry Test (CITLET).
