The Cluster University of Srinagar (CUS) is a collegiate State University located in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, established in 2016 under the Srinagar and Jammu Cluster Universities Act. It is a unique initiative under the centrally-sponsored Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) scheme, created by pooling the resources of five existing, well-established colleges in the city to decongest the main University of Kashmir and boost higher education and research in the region.
The university’s five constituent colleges—Amar Singh College, Sri Pratap College, Government College for Women, Abdul Ahad Azad Memorial College, and the Institute of Advanced Studies in Education—serve as its academic units. CUS offers a variety of undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and 5-year Integrated Programs in streams including Science, Humanities, Commerce, Engineering, and Education.

The B.Tech admission process at Cluster University of Srinagar is based on a common entrance test conducted by BOPEE, with selection for lateral entry seats determined by the university. After appearing for the BOPEE test, students must apply through the university’s online admission portal, fill out the application form, upload necessary documents, and pay the required fee. The final selection is based on merit and the results of the entrance exam.
