Dhemaji Engineering College (DEC) is a state government engineering college located in Dhemaji, Assam, India. Established in 2020 and formally inaugurated in 2021, it is the seventh state government engineering college in Assam.
DEC is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated with the Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU). The college primarily offers a four-year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree with an annual intake of 180 students across three disciplines:
B.Tech programs in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science & Engineering.
The college provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls (currently, two boys’ hostels and one girl’s hostel are available).
Well-equipped classrooms, including digital/smart classrooms.
An air-conditioned computer centre.

To get admitted to Dhemaji Engineering College for a B.Tech degree, you must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and then secure a rank in the Assam Combined Entrance Examination (CEE). Admissions are based on the merit determined by the CEE, with students needing to follow the specific instructions and deadlines provided by the Assam government’s Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and the college itself for counseling and document submission.
