Dr. S. S. Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology

The Dr. S. S. Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology (SSBUICET) is a renowned constituent college of Panjab University, Chandigarh. Established in 1958 (originally as the Department of Chemical Engineering & Technology) in collaboration with the Illinois Institute of Technology, USA, it is named after Dr. Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar, the founder Director of CSIR and the “Father of Research Laboratories” in India.

College offers  a diverse array of programs including B.E. (Chemical Engineering), B.E. (Food Technology), a 5-Year Integrated B.E. (Chemical)-MBA, and various M.E./M.Tech, M.Sc. (Industrial Chemistry), and Ph.D. courses.

Admission to the B.Tech is based on JEE Main scores. Candidates must have passed their 10+2 with at least 60% aggregate marks in five subjects, and the admission is through the counseling process that uses the JEE Main rank.
