Established in 1960, Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) is the second-oldest medical college in Assam and a premier healthcare institution in Northeast India. Located on the scenic Narakasur Hill in Guwahati, the college is affiliated with Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
It offers a flagship MBBS program with an annual intake of 200 students, along with extensive postgraduate (MD/MS) and super-specialty (DM/M.Ch) courses across more than 30 departments.
