The Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT Goa) is a public technical and research university and an Institute of National Importance, established in 2016 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It currently operates from a temporary campus housed at the Goa Engineering College (GEC) in Farmagudi, Ponda.
IIT Goa offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs:

There are dedicated hostel blocks with double occupancy rooms furnished with a study table, chair, bed, and cupboard.
The campus uses Academic Blocks A & B, the GEC Mining Building, and the GEC IT Department, which house fully equipped smart classrooms, various departmental labs and seminar halls.
The campus is equipped with free Wi-Fi access (24/7 in hostels and campus areas) and a dedicated IT Services center located in the Mahalaxmi Bungalow.
Research-specific equipment is available, including NMR, HPLC-MS, Gas Chromatography, IR Spectrometer, UV-VIS-NIR Spectrophotometer, and a Femtosecond Laser and Transient absorption Spectrometer.
A well-equipped medical center provides basic medical facilities, with doctors and nurses available during regular office hours and a 24×7 ambulance service.
IIT Goa B.Tech admission is through the JEE Advanced exam, following successful completion of JEE Main. Candidates must meet Class 12 eligibility criteria, such as a minimum of 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The final seat allocation is managed through the JoSAA counseling process.
