Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences

Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) is a premier state-funded medical college located in Porompat, Imphal East, Manipur. It evolved from the Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital (founded in 1989) and is affiliated with Manipur University and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

The institute currently admits 150 MBBS students annually and offers over 90 postgraduate (MD/MS) seats across 21 different departments, along with a separate Dental College established in 2017. Its attached teaching hospital is a major tertiary care center with approximately 576 beds, serving as a vital healthcare hub for the state of Manipur.
