Maharshi Dayanand University

Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) is a major public state university located in Rohtak, Haryana, India. Established in 1976 by the Haryana Legislative Assembly, it was initially named Rohtak University before being rechristened in 1977 after the renowned Indian social reformer, Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati. The university operates as a teaching-cum-affiliating institution, promoting inter-disciplinary higher education and research, particularly emphasizing environmental, ecological, and life sciences.

The B.Tech admission process for MDU Rohtak primarily relies on the counseling conducted by the Haryana State Counseling Society, based on 10+2 meritTo be eligible, candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, plus Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology. A 10+2 level entrance exam or counseling based on merit may also be used.
