The National Institute of Technology, Raipur (NIT Raipur or NITRR), is a premier public technical and research university located in Raipur, the capital city of Chhattisgarh, India. Established in 1956 as the Government College of Mining and Metallurgy, it has a rich legacy and was upgraded to an Institute of National Importance (INI) in 2005 under the NIT Act. The institute is spread across a 100-acre campus.

The college offers a wide array of programs, including B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc, and Ph.D. across more than a dozen disciplines. Admission to the undergraduate programs is based on the JEE Main rank, and the institute is consistently ranked among the top engineering colleges in the country, often featuring in the top 70 of the NIRF Engineering rankings.

B.Tech. programs in Chemical, Civil, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical, Electronics and Communication, and Mechanical Engineering. Other programs offered are Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, and Information Technology.

Admission to NIT Raipur for B.Tech is based on your performance in the JEE Main exam and passing Class 12 with a science stream. You must secure a good rank in JEE Main and meet the Class 12 percentage criteria (75% for General, 65% for SC/ST/PwD) to be eligible for JoSAA counseling, where admissions are allocated based on merit and rank.
