Established in 1987, the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) is a premier autonomous medical institution located in Mawdiangdiang, Shillong. Designed on the lines of AIIMS New Delhi and PGIMER Chandigarh, it serves as a central “Centre of Excellence” for the entire Northeast region.
