Rangaraya Medical College

Rangaraya Medical College (RMC), established in 1958 is a premier government institution located in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, and is widely recognized as one of the top medical colleges in the state. Originally started as a private venture through the efforts of the Kakinada Medical Education Society and named after the philanthropist Dr. Rangaraya Naidu, it was later taken over by the state government in 1977.

Affiliated with Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC), the college offers an annual intake of 250 MBBS seats along with a wide array of postgraduate (MD/MS) and super-specialty programs. The campus is spread across roughly 23 acres and is attached to the Government General Hospital (GGH), Kakinada, a major tertiary care center with over 1,100 beds that serves the East Godavari region.
